My goodness things have been busy lately.  I’m trying to find a way I can communicate with you all directly without just having to show pictures of stuff.  Well while that’s going on I suppose I can just keep showing some pictures with bios and whatnot.
So yes, here are the grand rulers of Equestria: King Solmidas and Queen Chernalia.  Let me tell you about them:
I first met Solmidas when I was quite young, I think I was………oh, like 160ish?  Yeah, that’s young for an alicorn, believe me.  Anyways, it was some time around when I started working for the palace court.  We both started out as pages for some of the congress members and I was under training to become a senator at the time.  He was the first alicorn to learn how to control the sun on his own at such a young age and he became quite well known for it as he was put in charge of the sun in the palace.  He wanted to become a senator too though his wisdom and handling of political matters gained him a lot of trust from the other senators and King Gallium the Sixth.  Even the ponies of Everfree Village thought he would one day become a king.  For a while, Sol (that’s what I called him back then) didn’t really have an interest in ruling a country but eventually he gave in.  It’s a long story but there was a battle involving the Ice Minotaurs of the North and some other barbaric clan and Sol helped win it and King Gallium, fearing he was getting to old to lead (he was a unicorn so he wouldn’t live forever), decided that it would be best to have an alicorn be the next king.  Of course Sol was the perfect candidate.  He was a bit reluctant at first but they took a vote and he won unanimously.  He was the first alicorn to be crowned king and successor of King Gallium VI.  I of course was overjoyed upon hearing that Gallium wanted to crown him king and went with it all the way and even offered to be Sol’s top adviser which I later became when he came into power.  Later on my dream of becoming a senator came true and Sol gained a few new advisers but being one of his oldest friends I am still somewhat of an adviser.  Sol knew Chernalia a few years before he became king but he developed strong feelings for her some time after the battle was won and asked for her hoof in marriage a few years after becoming king.  She loved him very much but was unsure about becoming the queen so she studied under several tutors to better her understanding of politics and after several trials was appointed queen and remains queen to this day.
The king used to be a lot like me but nowadays being in command has made him very serious and stern.  It doesn’t make him any less of a good pony though.  He’s very charitable and cares greatly for his people.  A lot of the kings of the past were somewhat greedy and cold but Sol didn’t even start out that way in his youth.  Since alicorns are immortal we mature greatly after being around for so long and Sol is a prime example of this which is why he was chosen to be the alicorn king.  He has a heart of gold and magic that rivals that of Starswirl the Bearded.  The fact that he is immortal also keeps him from stressing out so much which makes him a better workaholic than any king has ever been.  He’s been king for over 850 years and we haven’t had a full-scale war in over 500 years thanks to his excellent diplomatic skills.  He’s made peace with so many tribes and works out problems whenever they arise.  There are times when he can be a bit grave and skeptical but it’s only because he cares for what happens to his people and he’s ready to take action whenever a threat seems present.
I first met Chernalia when Sol met her.  She was another very special alicorn because she was the second one to learn how to move celestial bodies.  At that time she was only powerful enough to move the moon though nowadays she is also able to move the sun.  The queen is very fair and beautiful and always seems to have a smile on her face.  She’s a little more outgoing than the king and spends her time getting involved with ponies who live outside of the palace.  Every now and then she’ll roam the streets giving some food to the poor and encouragement to the young ponies.  She loves children, telling stories, and very calm graceful music.  She’s not quite as powerful as Sol but she is very capable with her magic and can do things that surprise even Starswirl.  Sol treats her very well and the only time I hear them arguing is over minor political matters having to do with the courts and other things of that nature.

There’s much more I could say about these two wonderful leaders but I am out of time and need to be at a court hearing soon.  I’ll start updating more though and hopefully can start answering some questions.  :)

Luna: May I try to raise the moon tonight?
No one seems to have made any fanart for Alex’s “Age of the Alicorns”.  And I think Queen Chernelia looks ADORABLE.

She’s such a confident young filly.  :3

This is my cutie mark for anypony who could never see it clearly enough.
It’s a set of measuring scales to symbolize order and balance.  I’ll tell all how I got it in time once I am able to start answering questions.

FUNNY FACE TIME!!

FUNNY FACE TIME!!

Today’s bio goes to Percy and Penny the dragons!
A few years ago on a cold winter night a young blue dragon and his newborn sister appeared at the front door of the palace.  They were orphans who’d been abandoned by their parents and they needed a place to stay.  The King, being as generous as he always has been, took them in knowing that not all dragons are wild, especially not little ones.  Ever since then, they’ve been ‘members of the royal family and help with errands and chores around the palace.
Percy (Perseus) is the older of the two and a messenger in training.  He’s a bit shy and sometimes easily scared but he’s friendly and helpful.  He’s a lot like Celestia although she sometimes mothers him and calls him by his longer name which I find to be quite funny.  His wings have grown in so he can fly with easy but he’s a bit clumsy on the ground at times.  Although he and his sister are both dragons, he has a hard time showing any interest in getting to know other dragons; he prefers being around us ponies or at least that the dragons would be nice enough to live with us.  I think he must be a little scared of them considering his parents left him and his sister.  He’s protective of his little sister Penny and they are an inseprable duo.  Sometimes they like to play pranks on me but I of course enjoy a good prank every now and then.  :3
Now Penny (Penelope) is the youngest and most energetic of the two, just like Luna.  She’s a rampant ball of fire and the only way to get her to shutup is with a pile of delicious gems.  She’s sweet and cheerful but you don’t want to make her mad: she’s got a temper and she’s just recently learned how to breath fire so watchout!  Outside of running errands for the royals and homeschooling, she enjoys hanging out with her brother and Celestia and Luna and me when I get the chance in my busy schedule.  She never got to know her parents so she doesn’t take it as badly as Percy does.  She actually wants to know other dragons and is determined to find some out there but Percy tells her they’re too dangerous.  Like that would ever stop her…

Well those are the dragons for you.  Sometimes they like to take over to answer questions when I’m busy so you’ll be hearing from them frequently…

Time for another bio post!
This is Starswirl the Bearded.  I’m sure you’ve all heard of him before, but I mean really, who hasn’t?  This is the most renowned unicorn wizard of all time and he’s been around since before Equestria even became it’s own country!  He’s created thousands of different spells and incantations that he’s discovered throughout the ages and even has his own library dedicated to his magic in the Everfree Palace archives.  He’s so powerful that he has the ability to keep himself alive and immortal just like an alicorn.  In most ways he’s actually more powerful than most alicorns, probably even myself which is saying a lot since I’m also very powerful.  Since he’s been around so long, he has vast knowledge and is also a skilled artist and musician.  He likes to play his little pan flute while walking through the palace sometimes which always sounds beautiful.
Starswirl is somewhat of a mentor to me since I’ve learned most of my spells from him.  It’s interesting to see him perform these spells because he’s such a professional at it and compared to him I’m like a novice.  I try practicing a lot of his spells and sometimes I screw up and he has to undo them for me.  I guess it’s because I try more often with my magic than he does.  Don’t tell him I said this but he’s a little uptight sometimes and kind of holds me back which does tend to get on my nerves.  Oh well, I think it’s just because he doesn’t want me to go mad with power so at least he has reason.  He’s still very smart and I look up to him and appreciate everything he’s done for us.
You know his apprentice, Clover the Clever, helped in the founding of Equestria and was also a very powerful magician.  I never actually heard what happened to him and Starswirl doesn’t enjoy talking about it…

Well that’s all for now, more bios to come.  Arrivaderci!
